Mike is a contributor to the AIPPI study group on Computer-Implemented Inventions, and will attend the study committee meeting on 14 October. As well as attending plenary sessions and meetings and seeing many old friends 14th-17th October, Mike will be giving a webinar for Australian patent attorneys on 18 October 2017 on the subject of ‘Managing costs and timeliness at the EPO and the UKIPO’, followed by a meeting with IPTA council members representing the UK’s Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA). Mike is the UK’s invited member of the EPO’s new Quality Working Group within the Standing Advisory Committee to the EPO (SACEPO) and a member of CIPA’s Computer Technology Committee, as well as AIPPI and LES.
