The Partners of AA Thornton are delighted to announce the appointment of Geoff Hussey, Solicitor, who recently joined the firm as a Partner.
Geoff joins the firm from Bird & Bird, where clients valued his technical, detailed and client-centric approach.
Geoff’s intellectual property (IP) litigation practice relates to all forms of IP rights and a wide range of industries. He has extensive experience in patent litigation before the UK Patents Court and in patent oppositions, and his experience spans sectors including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals and electronics. His contentious trade mark experience also includes passing off, reverse passing off and disputes involving trade mark licences; and he has experience in relation to disputes concerning contractual arrangements involving IP and copyright, design right and confidential information disputes. Geoff will also advise on non-contentious intellectual property matters including setting up and implementing IP licensing and ownership structures, IP due diligence, IP audits and brand management.
“I am absolutely delighted that Geoff has decided to join the firm. Geoff brings a wealth of experience across the full spectrum of intellectual property rights. His appointment underlines our ongoing commitment to client service and intention to maintain our position at the forefront of the IP profession in Europe.”
