Mike Jennings of AA Thornton IP LLP has been recognised again as an IAM Strategy 300 ‘Global Leader’ for 2024. He is also recognised by IAM as one of The World’s Leading Patent Professionals.
The IAM Strategy 300 Global Leaders list includes the individuals they identify as the world’s leading IP experts, renowned for their expertise in creating, protecting and managing critical patent rights across various roles in-house, in private practice and as service providers.
Mike is a Partner and a UK and European Patent Attorney at AA Thornton IP LLP. He is a representative before the EU’s new Unified Patent Court and is renowned for his strategic advice and expertise in computer-related inventions. With extensive experience, including as an in-house patent attorney for IBM Corporation, Mike navigates the patenting challenges for those developing AI, computer simulation and modelling, and quantum technologies.
Mike is an invited member of the Standing Advisory Committee before the European Patent Office, within the Quality Working Group and Guidelines Working Group. He also serves as the Vice Chair of CIPA’s Computer Technology Committee, European Liaison Committee and AI Task Force.
